    Multiverse 2 - World Creation/Management/Teleportation & More​

    Description
    Multiverse 2 is a ground up rewrite of the popular Multiverse plugin for CraftBukkit. There are many new features, the biggest one being the much better usability and cleaner code! MV2 has been in the works for over 2 months and given the size of it, the developers are confident that you'll find a small bug or two. Please come into our IRC channel and discuss politely with us and we'll get it resolved quick-fastly!

    People can't log into my 1060 Bukkit Server!:
    Are you using spout? If so, you need to upgrade it to a dev version or disable it until those guys release a 1060 compatible version.

    How do I know if I'm running CB XXXX or higher?:
    Type /version. The number here is your CB version:

    ...no. It's two (or more) completely separate maps on the same server.

    @Celtic Minstrel: So its almost this what i mean.. I would need to copy/paste the other wolds from the serers and.... make it with the plugin? If yes please tell how.

    Could not pass event PLAYER_CHAT to ichat.
    Could not pass event PLAYER_CHAT to HeroChat.

    Only happens when I am in the nether.

    Hm it says that the other world is loaded (i don't know how i added it...) but when i write /mvtp worldname it does not teleport into the other world.... and whats with home points? is there only one? :/
     
  8. What does it say when you use /mvlist
    Maybe you have spaces in the world name, weird characters (other than A..Z).

    The /mvtp p:<name> command doesn't seem to work at all for teleporting to a portal; I end up nowhere near the portal. CraftBukkit 550, MultiVerse 1.5.

    How do I actually link a netherportal to the teleport?

    1. I created the portal.
    2. I clicked the bottom right and top left sides of the portal with the wooden pick axe.
    3. I typed /mvpc (portal name) (destination world)

    ...nothing.

    I can teleport via /mvtp no problem, but just can't get the portals to work. [​IMG]

    I get the same issue keeps on telling me "You have not set your coordinates yet"

    The only thing I can think of is if it's somehow conflicting with the worldedit use of the wooden axe as the tool.

    edit: went into the config file and changed it from the axe to the bone now it all works correctly.

    Set monsters to true in server.properties then within the worlds.yml disabled monsters per world.

    Yup that's a mistake on my part... I messed up the code and once it detects iConomy its enabling payments when its not meant to.

    In the next version I'll be supporting GroupManager, Permissions and fallback onto isOp if neither of those two permission plugins are found.

    You place all the world folders into the same server folder, then you load up the server with the plugin and type "/mvimport FOLDERNAME ENVIRONMENT"... so if the folder was called creative and it was a normal environment it would be "/mvimport creative NORMAL"

    Will give it a test, chances are though its a bug/problem which has existed for a while it just sometimes occurs and sometimes doesn't.

    Just to clarify, make sure I'm on the right track. (still at work, will try in a few hours)

    - I only set up one portal. Do I need a destination portal or does it just send me to the spawn point of the destination world?
    - I am to right click on the bottom right of the home portal and left click on the top left of the home portal, correct?
    - The netherportal should be active first, right?

    1. You don't need a destination portal, you can just target the world and it will teleport you to the spawn of the world.
    2. You can do it either way, basically left click one block right click another and whatever is in between is turned into a 'portal'.
    3. You can turn anything into a 'portal' area, basically it just makes it so that area you targetted acts like a portal, so if you stand inside the area you get portaled. You can make the portal out of thin air if you wanted to, or lava, or water... etc.

    or you could try and make it compatible with the worldedit tool so no confusion ensues. but hey your mod do as you will but some people use the golden pickaxx for mining so annoying message spam. the bone seemed a logical choice since all it really gets used for is making into bonemeal.

    That's why there's a config file option to change it. :rolleyes:

    Though you can't seem to target lava or water, and you certainly can't target air, so you would have to fill the area with something else and then remove it after creating the portal.

    Yeah, doesn't work. I set up two stacks of obsidian blocks one block-width apart; thus the empty area between would be the portal. I tagged the bottom right block with the wooden pickaxe right click and bottom left block with the left click. Then I typed /mvpc agate alternia and nothing happened. :(

    Typing /mvtp alternia takes me to the other world I set up, but nothing happened when I walked upon the blank space. I'm running minecraft 1.3. Not sure the copy of bukkit I'm running, downloaded it about a week and a half ago and it was the latest then.

    If I used the same tool as WorldEdit then that causes needless spam as well and possibly more confusion. Because if I did that when you smack a block once you get spammed with double messages 1 from each plugin.

    Did you get any reply saying you set coordinates when tapping the blocks?

    Also did you recieve any feedback when typing the MVPC command? What happens when you type /mvpc by itself?

    You can always pastebin your server.log for me so I can check version numbers etc.

    I'll get you the version stuff once I'm home.

    - Yeah, I click both right and left and get a Set Position 1 and 2 for each.
    - I "created" a portal with /mvpc (portalname) but nothing appeared, except for when I listed it with /mvplist. I can also remove the portals just fine with /mvpr (portal name).

    Is something supposed to appear when I type /mvpc ... ?

    first of all I love this plugin. Thanks so much, I use it for having two world on my server one for survival and one for creative play.
    It works very well except for the fact that when teleporting into the survival world (the default is the creative one) it takes forever to load the spawn area and the player is suspended in space for maybe 10-20 seconds. The other way works in about 1 second. Is this an issue with the way my server is configured or is this a problem for everyone? I'm running bukkit build 500+ and a ton of different plugins.

    Probably a noob question, but I have multiverse and permissions in the plugins folder. I edited the permission.yml so that I can do all the multiverse.world.* stuff. I am an op on my server. But still when I try to use any multiverse commands it comes up with "You do not have the rights to use this command." I can do any other commands, but not multiverse ones. This is soooooo frustrating.

    could you add a configtoggle like "sign-portals:true". so not every user can make a simple sign on a portal "[mv] nether" with destination world. only admin should create a working portal.

    i only can use signportals cause i tried since MV 1.4 a few times with wooden pickaxe and created 2 portals by left/rightclicking on left/right obsidian blocks of each Netherportal, but they don't work. im admin on MV 1.5 and #531. any idea why? Portals.yml:

    Am I correct in my assumption after reading the OP that you can NOT whitelist worlds on a per user basis with this plugin?

    It says its on the features list cross out, but the instructions mention nothing of how to do it or if its supported or not..

    I want to give everybody access to the initial word, and only admins to "adminworld", VIPS and up to "vipsandupworld", etc.

    (emphasis mine) Tagging the bottom left and the bottom right won't select the actual portal space. Try top left and bottom right. Also, now the portal is created, you do "/mvps <name>" followed by "/mvpd <destination>" to set its destination. You could also try prefixing "w:" to the world name if it doesn't work without it.

    There's no need to paste your server log for this; just type "version" at the console and it will tell you. Also, "version MultiVerse" might be useful to try.

  27. Both portals look flat, and not just flat, they are lines. w1 Y1 and Y2 are 65.0, and n1 Y1 and Y2 both 99.0. Guessing multiverse doesn't do a minimum portal height counting, so player may never hit the portal.

    It wasn't mentioned in the first post guides but maybe you have to click first point bottom left and second point top right. I'm not sure if it covers portal depth or if 0 depth portals work. Your portals also have same X coordinates for points 1 and 2.

    Permissions plugins are a big pain in the *** and break everything every time they are updated or abandoned. Just another weak link in a rusty chain. Until a permissions system is written in stone I try to stay away from any mod that requires someone else's plugin to run. I often encourage makers of mods that do use permissions to make it so that their mod will default to op-list for implementation. Mod creators that put in a default to op list soon find out that they aren't harassed by admin.'s and their players when changes take place because limited functionality remains and is in the hands of trusted administrators.

    I have a problem: I created a nether and anywhere were ghasts. So I disabled mobs, but they're still there. We thought they are don't spawn any longer, so we killed, all we have seen. And sometimes we meet a Ghast again, and kill him, but later we meet a new Ghast, but we don't know, where he come from. We don't know if new Ghasts spawn or if the Ghast come from a corner, we don't saw.
    So can you make a command to kill all mobs?
