I'm not really sure if there is a plugin out there that can do this, but I saw it on a server, and a searched turned up nothing, because I honestly don't know what to search. When playing on a PvP server, and your in a no PvP zone, you normally get spammed in the chat with, "You are in a no-PvP zone!" So it ends up like this: Code: You are in a no-PvP zone! You are in a no-PvP zone! You are in a no-PvP zone! <BobSmith>: Hello! You are in a no-PvP zone! You are in a no-PvP zone! You are in a no-PvP zone! You are in a no-PvP zone! Now when I was playing on this server, this is what happened: Code: You are in a no-PvP zone! [x7] <BobSmith>: Hello! And it did it with all the types of messages that popped up that were repeated, like not being able to build, or when someone is attacking you with mcMMO, or anything that sends repeated messages through the chat. I was wondering what plugin this is, if it's even public, and if not, could someone create it. Thanks! -Waffle
WaffleOnABike: Wasn't this is a feature of 1.3 or something? It basically condenses chat messages that are the same in an attempt to stop spammers... I think.
That may be it! Now that I think about it, it was Nodus that I was using. Well, could a plugin do this? -Waffle
Well I'm not sure if it was nodus or 1.3.1 update But I'm guessing nodus. And if it is just nodus then funny how half the players on my server see the numbers aswell EDIT by Moderator: merged posts, please use the edit button instead of double posting.
Exactly. Haha. EDIT by Moderator: merged posts, please use the edit button instead of double posting.
I just tested it on my server... Didn't seem to condense. Which is really weird, because I could have sworn that I saw it as an added feature for 1.3... Maybe I'm going insane. :3
It's a feature Nodus has. Can get annoying sometimes if you say the same thing multiple times (like "no") and don't see the x thing go up and start freaking out because your message never appears. But yeah, it's not possible to modify messages once they've been sent, it's a purely client sided thing.
Well tomorrow is time to ask my players if they can see the numbers as like at least half of them were seeing it lol. javoris767 D: we have lots of nodus users.
