When will CraftBukkit for 1.3 be released?

With the Minecraft 1.3 release date fast approaching, a lot of people are wondering when we will be releasing a CraftBukkit Recommended Build for Minecraft 1.3. We hope this short announcement will answer those questions.

Due to the size of the impending 1.3 update, we are unable to guarantee that we'll have a compatible CraftBukkit Recommended Build out in time for the release of Minecraft 1.3. Although we started working on the update immediately after the Minecraft 1.3 preview was made available to the public, a lot of things were added, removed and changed in Minecraft from 1.2.5 and, as such, this update requires more work than usual to get things up and running. That being said, we'll continue to do our best to get an update out within a reasonable amount of time and will likely follow our usual policy of promoting the first Recommended Build the moment we get something that compiles and runs without any testing done whatsoever.

As we have done a significant amount of important work on CraftBukkit 1.2.5 builds since our last RB, we'll be promoting a new Recommended Build shortly. This is done so that people have a reliable, stable build to use until we can get a 1.3 compatible build out and so that everyone who relies on Recommended Builds are able to take advantage of all the fixes, improvements and so on we've done since the last 1.2.5 RB.

It all depends what name is set in your Run.bat
If you're with a hosting company, you should contact them and ask them for the name.

TnT, I logged on to a server and they had bukkit plugins, meaning they somehow managed to get a version of bukkit for minecraft version 1.3.1, or they figured out a way to use craftbukkit 1.2.5-R5 and still get people who updated to 1.3.1 Minecraft to be able to log on. Also, the (censored) who owns the server won't tell me. And I own a server and at the moment, seeing as no plugins=no protection plugin=major grieving issues and hackers. I really need some way to protect my server because my staff and I cannot ban EVERY single griefer who logs on there are just too many. Please help! :/

maybe they are still running 1.2.5, or they are running a dev build, and it happens to be working for them.

 

Dude. go to dl.bukkit.org click Development Build download it , Voila you now have CraftBukkit 1.3 (In serious dev mode)

 

They have "Removed Herobrine" about 4 times now >.<

There are 1.3.1 dev builds available. There will be an RB as soon as the team can fix the bugs.

is it working for you? im just getting an "end of stream message" when i try and join, then the server shuts down?

If the server can even start then the craftbukkit you names is not the problem, it's perhaps an outdated plugin not yet compatible with 1.3.1 That maybe the cause for your server crash. Check your CommandPrompt to find the plugin giving you errors.

I just hope it is soon. I mean they haven't had a lot of time, but the day minecraft 1.3.1 came out is when I made my bukkit server.
And so I can't play on my bukkit because I have minecraft 1.3.1 but craftbukkit.jar 1.2.5 (I own a Mac)

 

Hmm they have good prices for the amount of Ram they offer. Very nice

A command Prompt looks like this
All the info of all your plugin will showup in here as the server is running, It will display plugin errors, server logs and everything.
However on the BeastNode website it's called 'Console'. Click on Console and download the 'Log File'.
Afterwards open the downloaded Log with NotePad++ (Highly Recommended if you don't have it) and view your errors.

I can take a look at it if you like. Simply copy everything from there into http://pastebin.com/ and give me the generated link from the address bar.
