With the Minecraft 1.3 release date fast approaching, a lot of people are wondering when we will be releasing a CraftBukkit Recommended Build for Minecraft 1.3. We hope this short announcement will answer those questions.

Due to the size of the impending 1.3 update, we are unable to guarantee that we'll have a compatible CraftBukkit Recommended Build out in time for the release of Minecraft 1.3. Although we started working on the update immediately after the Minecraft 1.3 preview was made available to the public, a lot of things were added, removed and changed in Minecraft from 1.2.5 and, as such, this update requires more work than usual to get things up and running. That being said, we'll continue to do our best to get an update out within a reasonable amount of time and will likely follow our usual policy of promoting the first Recommended Build the moment we get something that compiles and runs without any testing done whatsoever.

As we have done a significant amount of important work on CraftBukkit 1.2.5 builds since our last RB, we'll be promoting a new Recommended Build shortly. This is done so that people have a reliable, stable build to use until we can get a 1.3 compatible build out and so that everyone who relies on Recommended Builds are able to take advantage of all the fixes, improvements and so on we've done since the last 1.2.5 RB.

Thank you for your patience, understanding and continued support; we greatly appreciate it!

I'm sorry, but you need to grow up. If you only had any idea the amount of work these people have to do for you, and it's given to you freely. Many of us in this community would pay a great deal of money to be able to offer all of the mods and modloaders when are given to work with for free, but they are free and we should be grateful. Please just use the above spreadsheet to watch progress and please stop complaining.

Zach, I believe it is going the other way, Yellow, Orange, Red...etc. i believe the next logical step is either an infrared fruit, or a pineapple..;)

    reads: Progress: 3.32% (legitimate)
outcome: cries in corner for 2 hours, looks at it again, rinse and repeat.

EDIT: Its been like that for 7 hours. It is not accurate! CELEBRATION TIME, COME ON!

If you only knew how wrong is your statement. I'm giving actual, measurable, status updates. That is to say that every fruit change has came with a very significant fix and progress milestone toward getting a build out.

Take it or leave it, but this build I said screw it to meaningless percent updates. We're going for status updates as they happen. Amaranth just fixed fire (burning hills were awesome, but not quite right).

I've been playing a 1.3 Vanilla server running off my laptop, With a few friends and I realised how EPIC Bukkit will be when it updates, I am slightly worried about how many plugins will break, But I guess that's all part of the Minecraft server Admins adventure, All the Bukkit team and all the Moderators, Especially md_5 He does all the hard work of approving most of the plugins submitted ( Not Forgetting MonsieurApple
and TnT ), I think all the Staff do a great job, The BukkitDev staff take care of you guessed it 'BukkitDev' I just think this is an all round brilliant collaboration of staff members to form a very functional and easy to use website, I with one day I could get a staff position, But that's not a concern since I have my own site. I really hope the Bukkit project gets along firmly and they continue on with their great work, Good job EvilSeph !

I personally cannot wait till Bukkit 1.3, And I know how hard Java code is unless you specialise in it.
