I am running a private friend server and want to turn off all the permissions. It's more of a freebuild/survival in one server, with multi-world stuff. So, anyone have fixes/plugins/ideas?

Ops can generally do anything, regardless of permissions. I wouldn't recommend you give everyone Op unless you trust them 100%.

Really!? I am the CREATOR of the server and all my permission-default plugins say I need permission! I even tried opping myself and it still didn't work. It even said "You are now an Op!" but again, it didn't work.

Sounds like out-of-date plugins to me.

Actually, a few were made when 1.2.5 came along. They don't work.

Some plugins like WE and WG have an option that even OPs can't use the commands. Check in the config.

Generally if you are OP you should be are to run any command.

None of my plugins have the option to turn off permissions.

Can you post exactly what errors you are getting. Are they in the server.log or in game?

They aren't errors, just messages generally saying "You don't have access to that command."

Okay, fine, somebody just give me a DESCENT, WORKING, UPDATED permission plugin. I've been researching for hours and can't find one. Not to sound too much like I'm shouting and mad, I just am annoyed by Bukkit right now. Why can't the team just implement a "Turn off all permissions" feature?

The point we're trying to make is that you normally don't need to use Bukkit permissions. Most newer plugins either respect Op by default or they have a configuration option to use Op, Bukkit permissions, or both.

Post your plugin list and we'll try to help. Also make sure you're in opts.txt.
