Tables - Build prettier tables easy.
    Version: v0.6

For some odd reason, you can't place pressure plates wherever you want.
That means you have to use halfblocks/steps to create tables, and they're simply too thick to look very good.
In Beta 1.8 this plugin became irrelevant because jeb_ let us place pressure plates on fence posts without it, but there are still plenty of things you still can't place them on.

Here's my solution to that problem.

Nice Cafè-like setting. Note the wall-grabbing tables with plenty of leg room.

    Features:
    • Allows placement of pressure plates on both types of glass and on iron bars.
    • Makes the pressure plates not plop out simply because there is a block update.
    • No configuration, no permissions, no commands, just simple usage.
    • Just add it to your plugins directory and reload, don't worry about it.

Thanks to EvilSeph for some events assistance!
Thanks to @Sneaky420 for the post-1.8-usefulness idea (glass planes and iron bars)

    Changelog:
    Version 0.6
    • Finally updated for the new event system and cleared 1.2.5-RB1 use.
    • Massive code cleanup making it ready for eventual configuration.
Next version will probably let you define "X on top of Y is OK" for yourself.
    Version 0.5
    • Support for putting pressure plates (and cake...) on Iron Bars and Glass Planes.
    Version 0.4.1
    • Cake on fence posts! This was talked about a while back, and forgotten, but today I was reminded!
    Version 0.4
    • Removed fence stacking support etc, as it's now supported by Minecraft itself.
    • Some internal cleanup, nothing major.
    Version 0.3
    • Partial (flaky) support for torches-on-fences
    • Removed pressure-pad-on-air support due to it's very strange nature.
    Version 0.2
    • Included functionality for stacking fences on fences for those Extra Fancy High Tables.
    • Pressure plates will now not plop out when the block below it disappears.
    Version 0.1
    • Initial release

Your problem is not actually with the Tables plugin but actually with BlocksOnGlass plugin. Specifically to do with using the bof.*, bog.*, boi.* and bol.* nodes in PermissionsBukkit.

Unfortunately I have noticed that they don't work with PermissionsBukkit and you actually have to list all the items that you want to use on glass and fences in your permissions list.

For example if you want to place a torch on glass then you have to put "bog.torch: true" (without quotes) into PermissionsBukkit, and so forth with each item that you want to put onto glass. Same goes with putting stuff onto fences, ice and leaves.

Kindly take any and all issues with BlocksOnGlass to the BlocksOnGlass thread (or whatever).

On a note more relevant for this plugin, I've got the "piston tables" stuff working, but I'm having trouble with what I wanted to use it for: Placing torches on the tables.
As you probably know, placing torches on pistons doesn't work, so I'm trying to trigger different handling when it's a "table-piston" rather than a "real" piston. This is non-trivial :-/

I thought my post was very relevant. add1ct3dd believed his issue was with Tables when in actual fact it was with another plugin in his list that he was using. I set the record straight. Try to show a little more gratitude.

I am grateful for your setting the record straight, really, but I just asked everyone to please continue that thread of discussion where it is appropriate, rather than doing it here. English is my second language, so I might have not gotten this through clearly, but I do appreciate people helping me out in supporting this plugin.
Now that this particular problem has been identified as being in a completely different plugin, however, it is no longer appropriate to discuss it here. Do you agree?

What I mean is: YOUR post was very relevant, but any answer anyone might have to that post would not be, so please don't clutter this thread with it.

Not that this thread is so damn tidy to begin with :-P

Well, at least you got the regular thing working :D
Of course, the client would get confused with placing torches, but oh well.

If you do make an update/plugin with similar functionality, be sure to post a link here :).

Hmm, maybe I should resurrect this?

What functionality are you guys looking for, exactly?

Nicer Tables, like on Iron Bars, and such. (As this plugin did).

    Not possible, client side stuff.
This plugin only permits players to place blocks.

Dang. Thought so, but thought it would be a nice feature if it was at all possible.

    Aaaand it's back.
I decided to resurrect this plugin, and it really only took a few minutes to do.

  16. 1.2.5 working?

Yep, that was the point of the update, but I forgot to edit the title!

    Yay :D

Obviously you probably haven't done anything with piston tables and etc. (lol), but any chance you could at least release them, even if you can't get placing stuff on it working? (Or you could just allow torches and stuff to be placed on regular pistons as well. :p)

Sorry, no, there is a map corruption bug in there somewhere, so I'll have to fix that first...
Unless, of course, you want your map to be corrupted? :p

Eh, nah, I think I'll pass on that. :p
