I was just thinking, and wouldn't it be awesome if the BukkitDev Plugin List had a 'Top Download' section for All Time, Monthly, Weekly, and Daily? You'd be able to see what the Bukkit community is using and it would be great for developers to get their plugins noticed.

I have no idea if this has already been suggested or taken in, but I would definitely love browsing it, much like the App Store.

    Thoughts?

    BukktDev needs this and MOAR!?!11!

  4. BukkitDev needs lots of improvements. Yet only the most annoying bug ("ghost messages") is being fixed and no eta on new developments.

With the move of the core Bukkit crew I don't even know if Curse is willing to continue this...

Just thought of a few new ideas.

-After updating a handful of apps on both my iPhone and iPad, it would be great to have a list of updated plugins in a list. You could choose to install them all at once or separately.
-Instead of having to drop the .jars into your plugins folder, I think it would also be amazing to somehow link your CraftBukkit folder with the Bukkit website. That way, installing a plugin would be easier than ever. Updating plugins would replace the old .jar and replace with the new automatically.

Certainly these two things won't be easy to code, but with the merge with Mojang, I can only imagine the future.

If I recall, people make this request pretty frequently. I agree with it, but from what I've been able to gather these guys coded their site by hand, therefore perhaps making it difficult for them to add such features.

  8. PS: "These guys" are the Curse guys!

I do recall reading from official posts that Curse *hosts* this web site, but my understanding was that the Bukkit developers are doing their own web site development. I may be wrong though (it certainly "feels" kind of custom).
