Problem/Bug Pex Prefix not showing in game

Currently i got permissions ect working (few things in need to lookinto) but one thing that annoys me a lot is that my prefix is not showing

also i someone happend to know if i did something wrong on the chat part, becuase i cannot type in color in the game (&a,&b,&c,&1,&2,&3,&l,&k,&i, ect)

and last of all is there a way to prevent people from being in more then 1 group at the same time?

prefixes being displayed is a responsibility of your chat-formatting plugin configuration. The permission system says "There, there is additional information that goes with the group rank... what you do with it is up to something else" Chat plugins need to be used to show that information.

Chat plugins will also be responsible for showing colored chat correctly, so its likely that you may have such a program already, but, do not have the required permission nodes for using colored chat.

putting your entier latest.log file from a fresh restart of your server will give everyone here the ability to see what plugins, versions you have, what conflicts might exist, what errors might be blocking you from doing ANYTHING right, etc. www.pastebin.com

 

Like Boomer said, you need a chat managing plugin. The most common is EssentialsChat. If you use this, you'll need Essentials too. Alternatively you can use PEXChat.

@Boomer You should use bold to make important things (like files [latest.log] and names [EssentialsChat,Spigot, etc] stand out more )

 

@Boomer, Im having the same problem. I'm on spigot 1.8, and I have the essentials all the right versions and same as pex. I downloaded the essentials from the spigot website its self. And this is my latest.log from a fresh restart

I know this problem. I fixed it myself. You need to download the bucket plugin called Vault. Then redo the prefix and it should work. Please message me back feedback.
