I have this problem almost constantly. Not just on login, but after I use NBTEdit or wipe the player dat. If I login with the client and just sit there long enough, the client without even touching it, will go blank and bukkit will kick me saying I tried to crash the server with an invalid pitch or yaw. It seems to happen at random without rhyme or reason and without user intervention on the client. Someone in another thread said it might be related to the day/night transition but it happens at any time for me. Happens whether the server is on a fresh restart or if it's been running all day. Low memory usage, low cpu usage.

The client is completely unmodded (vanilla). What information do you need to repro? Is there a log or something I can post?

It's a private server. Maybe if I PM my server info you can connect and try to repro? It happens to all my users.

BTW I just updated to build 684 but this has been happening since 674.

Could you post some specs / info about your server?

    - What OS are you running? 32 bit or 64 bit?
    - What kind of hardware, ram, CPU, etc?
    - Paste the whole output of "java -version"?
    - If you're running in linux, can you: "aptitude search ~i | grep java" or similar if it's not Debian?

We're trying to find out what the people affected by this have in common, since we cant reproduce it on any of our test servers. You can PM that info you would like.

    More information:
I copied a snapshot of the server onto my desktop machine and tried to replicate the problem but was unable to.

So it is definitely something to do with the environment the server is running in.

    Desktop info as follows

    OS: Windows 7 x64
Hardware: AMD Phenom II X4, 6GB RAM

    Java Version:
