I believe it only saves the chucks that you have edited, as in created or destroyed blocks in

i put the plugin inside the plugin folder and i tried connecting to my server with :8123 at the end of the ip address in my browser, just says "problem loading page' though. Am I doing something wrong?

Have you run the server? You need to start the server then go to your site with :8123 after it.

Found a fix if you don't want to use the internal server:8123 and want to use your own... This is for xampp...

    In the apache config....

    Code (Text):
    1. <VirtualHost *:80>
    2.    ServerName YOUR.SERVER.NAME
    3.    DocumentRoot "C:/xampp/htdocs"
    4.
    5.    RewriteEngine on
    6.    RewriteRule /map/up/(.*) http://localhost:8123/up/$1 [P,L]
    7. </VirtualHost>
    Got setup info from: https://github.com/FrozenCow/dynmap/wiki

oh derp, i was connecting using my own ip address. turns out since im running it on my own laptop i have to use the "localhost:8123" thanks acidine for posting that thing even tho i didn't use it. it helped me

EDIT: it works for me but everyone else can't use it. doesn't work. the link at least.

I think you also need to define the proxy server somewhere in your configuration:
    Code (Text):
    1.
    2.   <Proxy http://localhost:8123/*>
    3.       Order deny,allow
    4.       Allow from all
    5.   </Proxy>
    6.
You can also check this out: https://github.com/FrozenCow/dynmap/wiki/Setting-up-Dynamic-Map-with-apache2-under-Debian
If you have any additions you'd like to make, please do add them to the wiki.

I have reloaded my server with dynmap 0.05 and works perfect still. Still running CraftBukkit Build #41 .

Yea, I'm guessing you need to port-forward 8123 to the internet. You might have done the same for the minecraft-server itself. I can't tell you how you can port-forward though.

    Dafishies

oh ok, i know how to forward the port. thanks for the help though.

Just wanted to let you know it works with the latest of both as of right now
EDIT: here's an interesting thing. when the server crashes with players logged in there icon on the map stays there till you reload the web page. doesn't really matter just kinda funny. XD

Y'know I love testing these plugins, but it would be so much more convenient if they all came out at once :p lol

    FrozenCow

Glad to help you with that.

Can someone tell me what I do after putting dynmap.jar and web into plugins?

I'm kind of new to this.

  29. Offline

    Fewmets

you don't need the web folder. just put the jar in the plugins folder and launch the server. then type "localhost:8123" into your browser, connect to the server and modify a block, and watch as your world changes in your browser.

Installing Build #43 now.. will test compatability with this and let you know.

    -EDIT-

start ur server, and then go to this site "www.whateveryourserveripis:8123

altho for you to use it you must open ur ports to port 8123

EDIT: FUCK Build 43 already? is it normal to put this many out in one night?
