Solved Essentials warp/warp sign problem

    Hello all, I have been reciving recent problems with essentials warp/warp sign. Players cannot warp to places. Some are warps specifically for Owners and co-owners and some are public so I put "per-war permissions" to true. And I have given them the following permissions, but the server returns with "No Permission!" in light red.

    The permission: essentials.warp is different in your permissions (you put an s on the end) This can make it so the game thinks it a unknown permission but keeps it, meaning people can't warp! for more essentials permissions go here: http://ess.khhq.net/wiki/Command_Reference/Perm

    @jewelsy15 At line 52 of their groups.yml there's an essentials.warp, and at line 18 there is the essentials.warps.survival. They've put in the correct permission nodes.

    No, players don't have access to /ewarp survival (in fact they have no permission to do /ewarp at all!). And being op and doing that command (/ewarp) says no warps defined. And trying to go to survival being op says "That warp does not exist."! I do have another warp plugin (acewarp).

    @jewelsy15 That doesn't make a difference. Aside from the fact that it's useless clutter, it won't make a difference in-game at all.

    @Tails_Prower_24 Are you using Acewarp as your primary warp plugin? If so then *facepalm* use the permission node from that plugin which is acewarp.warp.<warpname> and give it to the default group (acewarp.warp.survival)

    No, essentials is my primary warp plugin. I was just wondering if Acewarp would effect essentials. I also have clickwarp, which also uses /warp <name>. Will this override or mess something up because it's the same command?

    Yes, ClickWarp would override it. When you do /ewarp it is using the Essentials warp command. Any Essentials command can be run with an e infront of it. (Just for this reason, too!)

    Are they able to warp within the same world, or is it only when tryingn to cross worlds

    @Boomer They cannot warp no matter what. They can't cross worlds and they can't warp in the same world.

    Id say then that its time to see a logs/latest.log file from a server restart , www.pastebin.com in order to be certain that its not a problem from plugins during the loading stage that will hook incorrectly or disobey rules or such, to see that everything is working right - and to be 100% sure there isn't something else that might be responsible for causing some interference or a little 'oh that yeah' plugin that may be responsible for issues

    that isn't the complete, full file from the start, following a clean server start...there is stuff missing at the beginning. But there are some signs of problems there that some plugins aren't working correctly.

    Please try this again. Stop the server, then start. Then get the entire file from the very first line - should indicate the server is starting, and what type it is, etc... I think there's going to be a big chunk of helpfulness in that missing part.

    Again - from the FILE - not what you can see in the console - thats not the full extent of what is there..

    Yup. Starting at the top:
    1) You have an invalid server-icon.png file. Server is poked in the eye.
    2) SignShopHotel plugin cant load because it cant find the dependancy plugin: Signshop Server is kicked in the knee.
    3) Statues plugin cant load because it cant find the dependancy plugin: BKCommonLib. Server is kicked in the knee.
    4) SignShopGuardian cant load because it cant find the dependancy plugin: Signshop. Server is kicked in the knee.
    5) iControlU = a plugin that hooks into command handling - is unable to load and hurts bad trynig to. It seems to be caused by a conflict/problem from perworldplugin... The server has a rock fall on its head.
    6) Easyrules plugin has a broken config.yml file, the format is broken and makes it unparseable, as a result, the plugin loads but is not able to configure itself correctly. Depending on what easyrules plugin interacts with, it could be hooked into some things that cause problems in a secondary way. The server has its hair lit on fire.
    7) PermissionsEx reports a new version exists, as a warning, but you may not need to upgrade as the new version is likely for 1.8 and you have 1.7.10, so you are correct to hold back. As long as there arent newer versions that were made for versions 1.7.2-1.7.10 than what you have, you're okay. Server is glad that it was just made to flinch that time.
    8) Same for "mymenu" plugin, and vault - both report newer versions, but assess if they are for higher than what you have or not.
    9) Something... unspecified... has caused "Punishmental" to enact a failsafe operation mode, which it does not consider to be correct. It may be a consequence of a slow bootup and normal for that plugin, a pause-mode action, and if tht error is seen while a server is in-play then it is more meaningful.
    10) you must be using a commercial control panel that sucks, to be spamming /list every 30s. Should be a way to disable that...
    11) Disable "check for updates" or similar setting in "Enginminecraftplugin' as it is trying to connect to bukkit to check for updates but the site it is linking to isn't available any longer.



    I would say that the iControlU aspect and or the rather .. subtle warnings about perworldplugin as linked to its failure -- would be the most likely reasons for your commands being botched and the contamination of particular commands.

    Now rescanning the log for non-error reports and other plugin info that may be candidate issues:

    Fix all of these issues and then see if the problem persists.

    If it does, disable (by renaming plugin.jar files to plugin.jam or plugin.jax renamed extensions, so that they wont be loaded, but you havent' deleted anything...) the clickwarp plugin and see if that resolves the problem. Then disable per-world plugins and see if that helps or not

    Do a clean restart and full log to pastebin again, with all your changes completed, to show that you have fixed the issues (akak, get the dependancies that are missing, watch the logs for more errors that may appear if those dependancies then result in the plugin throwing more errors for other reasons), and we can re-evaluate a clean log with a different eye

    Glad to help. Always keep on top of your server logs from the first line whenever you make changes and additions - learn what looks normal and right, so that when wrong occurs, you wont pull hair out for days trying to resolve :)
