    Hello!

As of now I cannot get creepers to not cause block damage. My complete essentials coding is:

    # If you want to use special characters in this document, such as accented letters, you MUST save the file as UTF-8, not ANSI.
    # If you receive an error when Essentials loads, ensure that:
    # - No tabs are present: YAML only allows spaces
    # - Indents are correct: YAML heirarchy is based entirely on indentation
    # - You have "escaped" all apostrophes in your text: If you want to write "don't", for example, write "don''t" instead (note the doubled apostrphe)
    # - List items are prefixed with a hyphen and indented:
    # lists:
    # - look like this
    # not:
    # - like this
    # - Text with symbols is enclosed in single or double quotation marks
    # - CraftBukkit and Permissions have been updated: CraftBukkit and Essentials almost always line up, but sometimes other plugins fall behind CraftBukkit's multiple daily updates
    # - You have saved the document as UTF-8, NOT the default, ANSI

    # When a command conflicts with another plugin, by default, Essentials will try to force the OTHER plugin to take
    # priority. If a command is in this list, Essentials will try to give ITSELF priority. This does not always work:
    # usually whichever plugin was updated most recently wins out. However, the full name of the command will always work.
    # For example, if WorldGuard and Essentials are both enabled, and WorldGuard takes control over /god, /essentials:god

    # such as /egod, will always grant Essentials priority.
    # We should try to take priority over /god. If this doesn't work, use

Yet, when a creeper explodes, it destroys anything around it as if I had block damage set to false.

I only use a few plugins (Permissions being the only one that could conflict I believe), but I've thoroughly checked everything and I don't believe it to be an issue.

Can anyone help me get this fixed so I can not worry about them blowing my things up?

The way I have it is:
    creeper-explosion: false
    creeper-playerdamage: true
    creeper-blockdamage: false

This prevents creepers from blowing up a vast majority of blocks but enabling it so when they fight users, the users take damage but the blocks do not take any form of damage around it. Although I have not tried to enable the explosion but keep block damage off, maybe that's something to test out?

    Hope this helped! ^_^

Hey =D Thank you for the response!

Unfortuneatly it still explodes and the blocks are destroyed, even when I copy what you have said.

I don't understand how having block damage and explosions set to false (which means it does NOT prevent them) can allow no block damage while having them set to true (which means that it DOES prevent block damage) allows the blocks to be destroyed.

Am I just reading it backwards or is it true enables default settings of damage and block destruction while false enables block protection?

I completely read this wrong. It's in reverse like so:
    creeper-explosion: true
    creeper-playerdamage: false
    creeper-blockdamage: true

Even I got confused. Looks like I'll be going into my own config files, nevermind other peoples :).

I'm correct in my method then, yet they still destroy everything upon explosion. I'm going to go nuts trying to figure this out >_<

Permissions shouldn't have any effect on this situation, but I will remove it and see just to cover ALL bases. I've copied the settings from another server and pasted into this .yml and the same issue occurs though the settings are 100% the same and block protection works on that server.

I can turn enough things off with Essentials to allow them to be in game. I definitely want them to be on and to kill players, just not destroy creations. That addon/pluggin is not something I'm remotely interested in. >< Thanks for the suggestion, regardless.

I'm going to go through and take all other pluggins out and only use essentials and see what happens then. Already had to do this for fire to work properly, so I suppose it's the only way to see exactly what's up.

Still, anything helpful would be AMAZING! =D

EDIT: It seems that with creeper explosions set to true as well as block damage being true STILL allows them to explode AND destroy blocks...

Definitely didn't assume anything. Just saying I don't want to completely stop them from spawning, only from destroying blocks upon explosion. I read over that plugin and it didn't say anything about stopping block destruction, only stopping creeper spawn.

I'll install it if it's available and see what's up.

EDIT: Sweeeeeeeeeeet!!! It does allow them to kill players, but NOT destroy any blocks at all.

Are it's only options, but hey, if it works, it works!!! Thanks a TON dude! =D

Not sure if this is what we had on the old server or not, but whatever was on the old one made it to where when a creeper exploded, the blocks would be destroyed, but then instantly rebuild themselves. Was that an older version of this plugin or what?

lol it really works ? how can that be possible ?

and idk about previous versions of this plugin but why you even need them to disappear and than rebuild

    isnt that enough ?

    Trolololo!

Oh yes man, it's perfect! They blow up and kill people, but blocks are 100% safe! =D It doesn't matter if they don't rebuild if they were never destroyed. ;)

I wondered what the other plugging or whatever was, that's all.

Thank you VERY much! Saved me TONS of work and recoding

when i use anti creep all other ppls use
    safecreeper

maybe that plugin do it well i know jus tthis that if you use worldguard to block creepers they will not even blow they just disappear and just take your health without even sound of blowing up or animations

so i think other creeper prevent plugins can do even block rebuild stuff

Safecreeper looks to be a lot more complicated, but I may check it out soon. I just don't want random monsters destroying things =P

    Thanks again man!
