   Not sure if furnaceSmeltEvent will work in your case, if it does not work with inventory click event or nms.
   EDIT: the best way is to add a furnace recipe (same way as you would add a crafting recipe, with only change that is not a shaped/shapeless recipe but a FurnaceRecipe)

   You would need to make a custom crafting recipe and then latch it on to a furnace.
