THIS IS NOT AN UPDATE FOR MINECRAFT RELEASED IN OCT 2013

    Show Spoiler

    Update - July 1, 2011 at 3:01PM EST:
Minecraft 1.7.2 contains a dupe exploit that will ruin your economy or could create other issues. We strongly recommend waiting for a fix from either Mojang or ourselves before updating.

    ---------------------------------------------------------

We're pleased to announce our fastest update ever, and we've just made our 1.7.2 compatible build of CraftBukkit available to download as a recommended build here.

For those who are interested, we had a 1.7 update ready for testing within 15 minutes of 1.7 being launched. That's compared to hours or even days we usually take! 1.7.1 was ready within 10 minutes, and 1.7.2 was ready in just under 10.

We'd like to thank you all for helping us test these out, and rest assured we're trying everything we can to make these even faster for the future!

I seem to have a problem with my teleport gates, With XCraftGate.

Endless loop of teleporting, was not in 1.7.1.

most or all of my plugins have no issues upon load, but local server seems to lag like all else... i have 24gb of ddr3 ram and a quad core proc, pretty sure it shouldnt be lagging! :p Ill test on the actual server though just for shits and giggles and see if its related to this or if its related to porn being open! ( just kidding, maybe )

Seriously though, so amazing you guys got it out fast. My server was freaking to try this out.

I have a servercraft server which gives me mcmyadmin. I cannot directly add the craftbukkit jar file into my server because I do not host the server myself, I just have a control panel so I have to click a button that adds the latest jar for me. You have put the download link on the website. but it's not in the feed so McMyAdmin cannot find this update D: Please add it to the update feed!!

I have a question, will this new Bukkit Build break plugins?

Our Server crash with 1.7_2. All plugins loaded, but after some users log in the server crashes.

No, they don't have access to the source code yet, and no Notch haven't handed out any source code to anybody yet, probably won't happen until final release in November.

Big thanks to the Bukkit team..

BukkitContrib is a plugin by the community and not by us. It will break every update. Please yell at them to fix it, not us.

  15. I'm relatively new to hosting a server, but just for kicks I'm hosting a server locally for me and my friends to play on. It's got all the normal plugins - essentials, worldedit, worldguard, etc.. And after updating to this build of craftbukkit, whenever a player joins the server the console gets flooded with errors.. They never stop, I can't even type anything in the console. As soon as the player disconnects it's fine again..And while all this is happening there's immense server lag.
Errors are something along these lines - they just go on and on.

This is a minecraft limitation, not bukkit. Your view-radius is too big in server.properties, 15 is the maximum I believe.

  26. How come it only happens when a player joins and I've updated to 1.7.2?

  27. Offline

    StefanG

@Dinnerbone Any idea when this will be ready on MCMyAdmin? My server host relies on MCMyAdmin for the update, and for whatever reason the latest build MCMyAdmin recognizes is 1.6.6. It seems many others are having the same issue in this thread as well.

    Dinnerbone Bukkit Team Member Administrator

Because that player is in or near that chunk, so it loads when he joins and unloads when he leaves, and it's just a coincidence that it happened with 1.7.2.

moving redstone and presureplates will still crash the server and making it corrupt for ever? if it is im gonna stay at 1.6.6
if its not, then i feel safe upgrading

    Notch fixed that in 1.7.2
