Im probably assuming here what im about to say, but im not for sure Maybe its illegal characters in a nickname he might be using(Idk if nickname show in console tho, soz ya) If you use an illegal character that doesnt exist in minecraft chat, you will kicked for illegal characters and I did see something to do with "text", "bold", "obsucated", and "underlined" So try going into your server/plugins/essentials/userdata/Hawk_Flamewing.yml and delete that file and you should be good to go
